Dr. Daniel Mathurin renowned for its speeches, panel discussions, and presentations on Haiti's national wealth and natural resources, passed away in a Hospital in the Dominican Republic following a traffic accident near Santiago.
According to the daily newspaper "Le Nouvelliste" in Haiti, Dr. Mathurin lost control of his vehicle that hit an obstacle on his way to Santo Domingo.

His wife, Ginette Mathurin, Architect, who survived the car accident told the news that he was badly injured and was taken to a nearby hospital La Plaza de Salud. He died at 6:00 pm on Sunday, February 17, 2013, he was 61.
Dr. Daniel Mathurin, Physician and researcher, who wrote and spoke about Haiti's natural resources, was very passionate about history, geophysic, astronomy, and the country's heritage.
For decades, Dr. Daniel and Ginette Mathurin have spent their precious time educating the Haitian people on the resources and true value of Haiti. They have been a great source of inspiration for the new generation and even those who stigmatized them as mad scientists questing after establishing an authentic and scientific culture in Haiti.
